Seems that little by little people are starting to get comfortable around us and sending their own rants. Here is another anonymous post from one of our pissed off friends. Enjoy:
It's getting worse.
The guy who sits at a cubicle all of five feet from me is singing again. Tom Jones. Loudly. And very badly. Just before that, it was a thirty-minute phone conversation with the contractor renovating his condo. Before that, another just-as-loud phone conversation with a friend about travel plans for an upcoming vacation.
My favorite line from that second loud, impossible-to-ignore conversation: "Technically, I'm supposed to be working right now."
Yes, "technically" you should be. And maybe it'd be nice if you'd allow the rest of us who are actually swamped with assignments to try and get them finished.
I know, I know...this is an ad agency. Craziness happens. It's not supposed to be a library.
I agree. But in an officeless office, there's also got to be some time in the day when you close your pie-hole and do some work. Or at least close it and let others get work done, since the singers and constant-phone-talkers of the world rarely seem to have any work.
Condo renovations and vacations plans, yes. Work, no. Time to download all of Tom Jones' lyrics, yes. Time to ask co-workers who are buried under five-feet of job orders if they could use any help, no.
I've said my piece. I guess it's time for me to shut up now.
