I usually keep my politics to myself, but from the posts I've written you could guess that I am a "lefty" in many issues. I have just seen this movie, and for those out there that enjoy good political comment flicks, then this is for you. Don't worry, it's not a Michael Moore style thing. It just plain explains McCarthyism and Murrow's fight against it from the CBS point of view.
This is a very important film to watch in my book. Tv news are now so manipulated and well written in favor only for the right, that when you see someone just telling it like it is... Well, it is enlightening, at least. I mean, if we would like to read or investigate the facts, I can guarantee that sometimes people label us as... troublemakers. Sad.
Clooney has apologized of Batman and Robin with this piece of work. The direction is flawless, the photography and music is brilliant. I recently also saw Syriana, and believe me, it is also another great piece of work.
So yeah, go rent it.
