Screw Waldo again. Where is my check?

This has me angry as hell. I mean... Pick any of my clients. Pick any day of the week. They call. I need you to do this and that and I need it for tomorrow. No problem, I say. Let's get to work. I deliver exactly when they want it (I have a problem seeing jobs lay around for too long). I do the stuff, send it in. Bill it the same day. Send it over as well.

Perfect, right? The check should be in the mail in a month. Um. NOT!

What the fuck? You mean to tell me that I have to deliver your arts, pronto. And you then proceed to ignore my bill? What is up with clients? I don't get it, I swear. And this shit happens every single day. There are some good human beings out there that are special, that actually send the damn thing in less than a month. Makes me want to hug them and shed a tear of joy. But... the rest of them, well, they pay when they want to. And sometimes it's two months, three months... Lord.

My problem is... Mom raised me to not ask for money, ever. Kind of proud in that department, maybe. I just think I strongly believe on your word. If you give me your word that you are going to do something, and you don't, you are just wrong. If you tell me you are going to pay me in 30 days, DO IT. Don't have me begging around for you to pay me. This is not the Salvation Army where I need to ask you every single day, in front of your office with a bell in hand, to give a nice donation.

I think advertising should be like Blockbuster. Thinking about sending the check overdue? Here's a nice late fee. Shove it.
