The good old days of smoking

If you happen to be in the NYC area anytime soon, make sure to check out the Public Library’s exhibit of old cigarette ads from the early hey-day of advertising, when doctors shelled out for the benefits of smoking. As my grandma says, “Life was much simpler back then.”

Alcohol. It was the best companion ever to smoking. Period. Beer was the best, hands down.

Other hints are anything that is related to relaxation, time for yourself. Smoking is and will always be a time to wind down. To take a moment and forget all your troubles, even if it means to get into more trouble health wise.

And if you can use this, you will get a prize from myself - well, if any ad makes the light of day anyways - smoking is the best diet.

For me, I always used it to curb my appetite. You can drop pounds like a mad woman on those. But hey, you can get killed... I know. But you would be surprised at how many women out there are willing to gamble with their lives, just to look awesome.

For those anti smoking people out there who are going to write something to bite my ass for posting this: sorry man, you at some point have worked on an alcohol account. The last time I checked, it kills people just the same.

Guinness works pretty well with cigarettes, though I always liked the mix of that with the flavor of Camels.

If you're drinking harder liquors, consider Marlboro.

Jesus. The good old days indeed. Just the words Camel Lights, Beers and staying up until 6am on a Friday makes me weep...
