7 things about me

I have recently been tagged by the wonderful Jane from Dear Jane Sample in a little would be blog chain called "7 things about me". The trick of this little post is to reveal 7 (new) things about me. The parenthesis was Jane's idea since she writes so much that revealing something new is almost a magic trick in itself becauses she reveals so much of what makes her tick. I'm not sure if I have the same problem because although I do reveal quite a lot about myself, I've always written anonymously but I do think that to make this interesting I should reveal 7 things about me that not many people know. Afterwards I must tag 7 people I would like to see reveal a little something about themselves as well. So here goes.

1. I am obsessed with the #4. I have been for all my life or at least since I had a more developed conscience and there are so many things in my life that revolve around that number that it's almost freaky.

2. Films with animals dying and me don't get along too well. Though I've never been one to hold back a good cry while watching a movie that inspires me to, me in March of the Penguins was a bit too much. Probably won me some brownie points with the Mrs. but still.....

3. I've never smoked pot, done coke or done anything that isn't smoke cigarettes or alcohol. It's not that I don't approve, I just don't need any other vice in my life. Seriously I'm good with what I got and adding costly vices just isn't responsible. If they ever do legalize the herb, I'm pretty sure I'll have one just to enjoy the rights so many frizbee pros have fought hard to win. But seriously, I'm one for legalizing quite a few drugs and making them mandatory. Boss is being an asshole? slip him a ruffy and let him sleep off his dickness. By the way, my reason to quit smoking was my fiancée and trust me, unless you get a real reason that motivates you to quit, you'll probably relapse each and every time. Wanting to quit isn't enough, you pretty much need to have to quit.

4. One time at band camp... just kidding. I've been close to drowning three or four times. Each time meant a change in how I defined mortality and how I viewed myself in the grand scope of things. This started by age 13 and I've been questioning my existence ever since.

5. I drive like an old lady, have had only one ticket in my life (a bullshit one at that) and the only accident I've ever had was because I fell asleep. Does this mean I'm a good driver? Ummm... I did mention I was Hispanic, right?

6. I've written over forty songs I've recorded on tape. Need to get a digital recorder so I can truly embarass myself. That being said, I'm actually quite shy when it comes to playing my music and singing it is borderline impossible. Now give me beer and a kareoke machine and I'll pull my jockeys into a thong while singing lady marmalade, go figure.

7. I have a scar on my left index finger that looks like a long J. [The fourth finger from left to right by the way :)]

NOTE: I considered putting down that I'm agnostic and why I choose to define myself that way, but I think that merits its own post some time down the line.

And my tags go out to:

Thinking in Vain
Bill Green
The Ad Agency
Jetpacks
Kelly
Shaun
And
Justin

Though if I had my way I'd also tag:

Fox
Eugens
The Rules of Stupid

And of course

The WAS crew: Restrictions/Me/Travis

Was I excessive? Oh well......

Cheers

Very enlightening. My sister loves the #4 too. But I expect that from her, she's an accountant. :p

Jesus dude. For the life of me I cannot think of more stuff about me that I haven't written here - apart what is strictly personal, hehe.

The only thing I haven't written about is that I love the number 20.

Jesus, I share too much.

RE: your second interesting thing:

Don't watch "Eight Below." I just saw it and cried like a baby.

@ TIV: I got an A in accounting in college, but this has been around for a long, long, looooong time.

@ Bill: Hahaha, seems I'm not the only one that tagged to say the least.

@ shaun: No need, I still love the water.

@ Me: admit it, it's because of the 20 on 20 series I've yet to finish. :)

@ jen: thanks for the heads up. Will also avoid Marley and Me as long as I can.

I am obsessed with the #10 ... and squares. Don't ask me why because I really don't know.
