Gibson's not too kosher, I guess.

Yes, my friends. Gibsongate exploded. If you have been living under a rock, maybe you haven't heard the news about Mel Gibson. Basically, and according to EOnline, he was arrested for DUI, and: "During the arrest, the Passion of the Christ filmmaker reputedly railed against the "f--king Jews" who are "responsible for all the wars in the world," and asked the arresting deputy if he was a Jew, too." He also humiliated a police woman, and said that he was going to urinate in his cell. Way to go, dumb ass. Climb up the corporate Hollywood ladder and just destroy it all by being a complete jackass.

But talking in advertising and public relations terms... where the fuck do you go from there? What can you possibly do with a piece of shit man like this? I would love for someone that works in PR would write down some comments telling us how he could manage such a major faux pas.

For me it all ends up on one word. Forgiveness. Do you forgive people for being an asshole? Do you just let it slide and hope that it will get fixed? Think that in time they will see their wrong ways and change for the better? I for one think... No way. Sometimes in life people claim that they made huge mistakes in life and they cannot accept the fact that, in fact, they are acting like they are. They act badly, humiliate and hurt people, think that they are all that and more... and then when people call them out on their shit they say "I'm sorry, I can change". Bullshit. You will always act how you are. Period.

Sometimes in life you can say all the "sorry" you want, but at the end, the damage is done. You can even see it, right in your face. You fucked it up, big time, and now you should take your consecuences and move on. Besides, some might actually say "it's ok, I forgive you", but secretly, deep in their hearts, they know that sooner or later you will fuck up again. Why? Because in some people, it's in their nature to make mistake after mistake.

Hey, Mel. Life is like the POW slogan: we will never forget.

For once, I don't totally agree with Me.

Is Gibson a bigot? It lingers between possibly and probably leaning more towards the latter. He was drunk off his ass, said some insanely stupid shit and showed people how fucked up he really is breaking the glass window that depicted this actor/drector/potential anti semitic as equalized and leveled. What's pissed me off throughout this entire media extravaganza was the fact that the only time I've read of Gibson belittling a woman is in this post, which to me is a hell of a lot more important than what he said about the Hebrew because he physically and tangibly accosed a woman. The entire set of headlines consists of jew hater and shit of the sort and I have to actually pose the question, when was the last time Jewish people weren't racist? When was the last time that any ethnicity was not racist? no one is exempt in this insult tirade.

Last I checked, most of america's wealthiest were a nice long slew of über bigots that can't get enough cheeseburgers or slave fucking. Am I in any way condoning Gibson's behavior? No. I could care less if he should beg his christian nuts off because like Me said, he fucked up. But making a media blitz out of this? It just shows vindictive behavior at its crassest.

Was I worried that The Passion would raise anti semitic behavior? Yes. but it's not like the christian bible is being misquoted. Was it graphic? Hell yes. A good movie? i wouldn't go as far as to say that although from a makeup standpoint, it was impressive and I cringed quite a few times. But some people took this movie extremely personal, and with right mind you.

My point is not if Gibson deserves scorn or not, it's actually in reaction to all the people in hollywood who so generously donate their fingers to point and name.

Hell i know it was Jesus that said (or was credited as saying) let the first one without sin be the first to cast a stone, but fictional or not, that comment holds water. Right, like Jewish people are the kindest people on Earth. Like people of Asian descent don't look as any other race as foreigners and constantly bash every Asian country that is not theirs. As if Puerto Ricans did not belittle Dominicans, As if Germans and Dutch and English people did not hold hatred towards Muslims, as if Muslims did not hold hatred towards North Americans, as if North Americans do not discriminate against Hispanics and Blacks, as if Hispanics and Blacks do not hate anyone that doesn't eat a tacos or fried chicken.

It's a vicious cycle and when media and people in Hollywood become the saintly people they scorn Gibson for not being, then I'll shut the fuck up. Til then, give me a couple of shots of tequila to see who escapes MY ensuing tirade of hatred.

As I told Joker, I agree with him. But, we all have to realize one thing. Drunks say the truth the whole time. They act more as they are, because the limits the mind has are wiped out by alcohol. I agree with him that prejudice and racism will exist forever, because there is no way in hell that everyone will teach their children that all people are the same. This is an ugly thing human beings do, and it will keep happening 'till we die. Shame, but what can we do, right?
